Road Trip Medicine | October 2017

It was the constant longing for starry skies that recently propelled me out of the city of my dreams (Toronto) and into the wilderness of my longing (Northeastern Ontario).

It is here, amidst the big and small creatures who have inhabited this land forever, that I hope to establish deep, nourishing roots and to rediscover my own place in the natural wonder of things.

It is here that I hope to practice a medicine that is kind, gentle and grounded in the wisdom of Earth—a wisdom that whispers to us all the time and begs us—begs us—to hear her.

And, it is here that I hope to write as if the rhythm of my own Heart depended on it. Because it does. It always has. But it does now, more than ever. And there comes a time, in everyone's life, when the fear must drop away so that we can drop down into the space we are meant to occupy, here.

This site was created to share the journey through the heart-words, whatever they may be.

Thank you for being here.

[For those seeking specific information about my wellness practice, I invite you to visit my professional site, Mahina Medicine, and look forward to meeting you there.]

"We have all hurt someone tremendously, whether by intent or accident. We have all loved someone tremendously, whether by intent or accident. It is an intrinsic human trait, and a deep responsibility, I think, to be an organ and a blade. But, learning to forgive ourselves and others because we have not chosen wisely is what makes us most human. We make horrible mistakes. It’s how we learn. We breathe love. It’s how we learn. And it is inevitable."
